Women in Clean Energy (WICE) at UNC Charlotte EPIC

Infrastructure Center (EPIC) at UNC Charlotte!

The goal of NCSEA's WICE project is to foster a network of support, camaraderie, and opportunity for self-identifying women in the North Carolina clean energy industry. Creating a space for women in North Carolina to come together and connect with other women in the industry is integral to the advancement of women in this sector, and the clean energy industry as a whole. To that end, we are excited to invite you to join us for another evening of drinks, snacks, and networking at our next WICE event in Charlotte, NC.

This event will include a tour of the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC).
EPIC is housed in a 200,000 sq. ft., $76 million building, which was dedicated November 2012. It contains research facilities, classrooms, lecture halls, and conference rooms. Research facilities include a clean room, Duke Energy Smart Grid Laboratory, High-Bay Structures Laboratory, Materials Characterization Lab, Framatome Power Systems Education Laboratory, Power Systems Teaching Laboratory, Siemens Large Manufacturing Lab, Flexible Energy Laboratory, Photovoltaic Research Laboratory, and Renewable Power Laboratory

EPIC also contains faculty offices for electrical, civil, environmental and computer engineering departments of the William States Lee College of Engineering. Office and research space for industrial partners is also available.
