Description

How does electricity rate design benefit consumers, electric vehicle charging station owner/operators, vehicle manufacturers, automobile dealers, and utilities?

Join North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association for a webinar providing a deep dive into electric vehicle specific electric rate design. In this webinar, you’ll learn about utilities across the country that have implemented rate structures designed to boost the adoption of electric vehicles to increase load growth and curb peak demand. In turn, these rate structures, such as time of use rates and reduction of demand charges, lower the cost of operation to EVSE owners, lower the cost of charging for EV consumers, and can provide grid benefits to all electric consumers.

What would these EV rate structures look like in North Carolina and how could they move the electric vehicle industry forward?

Speakers:

  • Erika Myers, Principal, Transportation Electrification - Smart Electric Power Alliance
  • Nurdan Cornelius, Director, Consumer Marketing - Cobb EMC
